Q1. What is the Competitive Program at Stand Up and Speak? A. The Competitive Program is a 9-month, in-person course for kids and teens who want to take their public speaking to the next level. Students meet weekly to build advanced skills in speech writing, delivery, debating, interviews, and TED-style talks.

Q2. Who is the program designed for? A. It’s designed for kids and teens ages 5–17 who are ready for challenge and growth. Many begin after completing the Confidence Builder program, while others join because they show strong interest in public speaking.

Q3. How long is the program and how often are classes? A. The program runs for 9 months, with one weekly class. Each session is coach-led and includes hands-on practice, structured feedback, and preparation for competitions.

Q4. What makes this program different from the Confidence Builder? A. While the Confidence Builder focuses on overcoming nervousness and developing core skills, the Competitive Program goes deeper. Students learn advanced techniques, compete in contests, and practice at a higher level. It’s ideal for those who want to accelerate their progress.

Q5. How do competitions work? A. Students compete in speech and debate contests organized by grade level. They are evaluated on content, delivery, confidence, and clarity, and have the chance to win recognition and prizes. Competitions build resilience, stage presence, and the ability to think on their feet.
