Class Description

At Stand Up and Speak, our Burlington Junior Confident Communicator - January Monday 4pm class; students in Grades 4 to 6 will learn to build confidence through the core fundamentals of powerful speaking. Confidence is Contagious: Signs of Nervousness and Impromptu Speaking Students learn to recognize and manage common signs of nervousness, including rocking, fidgeting, speaking too quickly, forgetting words, avoiding eye contact, and using filler words. Skills: Managing speaking anxiety Confident posture and eye contact Speaking for 60 seconds without preparation Using impromptu structures Reducing "um," "like"" and "you know" Evaluations
