Open to currently enrolled Stand Up and Speak Competitive Program students only. Registration deadline: May 23, 2027 at 11:59 pm Toronto time. REGISTRATION ONLY — EVENT SIGN-UP. The booking schedule shows an administrative registration marker, not the event's duration. The actual event begins at the start time listed below. Bring your ideas, listening skills and teamwork to the iCan Debate Live Team Contest. This Stand Up and Speak contest gives students in grades 7–12 an opportunity to practise persuasive speaking and thoughtful responses in a live team setting. Who can participate Currently enrolled SUAS 2026–27 Competitive Program students in grades 7–12 only. Date and format Sunday, May 30, 2027 at 12:00 noon. This is a live team debate contest. Venue and end time: to be confirmed. How to prepare Practise making a clear claim and supporting it with relevant reasons and examples. Listen carefully to different viewpoints and respond to the argument respectfully. Work on communicating with teammates and keeping your contribution focused.
