iCan Debate Video Contest Registration 2027

Class Description

Open to currently enrolled Stand Up and Speak Competitive Program students only. Registration deadline: May 18, 2027 at 11:59 pm Toronto time. REGISTRATION ONLY — VIDEO SUBMISSION CONTEST. No attendance session is required. Any booking schedule date or time is an administrative registration marker, not an exact video-submission cutoff. The submission deadline is May 25, 2027; the exact submission time and submission method are to be confirmed. Build confidence in explaining an idea and supporting a point of view through the iCan Debate Video Contest. This Stand Up and Speak contest is for students in grades 1–6 in the 2026–27 Competitive Program. Format and important date This is a video-submission contest. Videos are due May 25, 2027. No in-person or online attendance session is required. How to prepare Practise stating your main idea clearly and supporting it with reasons and examples. Think about how to make your message easy to follow, and rehearse speaking clearly and confidently. Before recording your final entry, contact SUAS for the contest topic, video requirements and submission instructions. Registration and video submission Registration is free, with space for up to 100 participants. Select Register on this page and complete the registration form. Registering does not upload or submit your video. Follow the video submission instructions supplied by SUAS so your entry reaches the correct destination. This registration is for the grades 1–6 video contest. Students in grades 7–12 have a separate live team debate contest.
