MISSISSAUGA Intermediate Competitive Program - Saturdays: 9:30am The Stand Up and Speak Intermediate Competitive Program is designed for students who are ready to elevate their public speaking and leadership skills. At this level, students refine their ability to communicate persuasively, think critically, and present ideas with confidence and authority. This award-winning program challenges students to develop stronger argumentation, deeper analysis, and more dynamic delivery while continuing to build confidence on stage. Students will learn: Advanced speech writing and structured presentations Persuasive speaking techniques Impromptu speaking under timed conditions Competitive debating strategies and rebuttal skills Voice control, stage presence, and audience engagement How to organize complex ideas and deliver them with clarity Students receive personalized coaching and detailed evaluations to help them continually improve their performance. Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to compete in local and regional competitions, allowing them to strengthen their skills through real competitive experience while learning from their peers. This program helps students develop confidence, leadership, analytical thinking, and powerful communication skills that will support success in academics, leadership roles, and future career pathways.
