MISSISSAUGA Junior Competitive – Tuesday Program: 4:30pm The Stand Up and Speak Junior Competitive Program helps students strengthen their confidence while developing advanced public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment. Designed for students ready to take their communication skills to the next level, this award-winning program focuses on building strong speakers who can express their ideas clearly, think quickly on their feet, and engage their audience with confidence. Students will learn: Effective conversation and communication skills Speech writing and structured speech delivery Impromptu speaking techniques Introduction to debating and argument development Strategies to manage nervousness and build stage presence How to organize and express ideas with clarity and confidence Throughout the program, students will receive personalized evaluations from experienced coaches and have opportunities to participate in local speaking competitions, allowing them to grow through practice, feedback, and peer learning. This program helps students develop confidence, leadership, and communication skills that will support them in school, competitions, and future leadership opportunities.
