MISSISSAUGA Senior Competitive Program - Fridays: 5:30pm The Stand Up and Speak Senior Competitive Program prepares high school students to communicate with confidence, clarity, and impact in academic, professional, and leadership settings. This advanced program focuses on high-level speaking, persuasive communication, debate strategy, and leadership development while preparing students for competitive speaking, university interviews, and real-world communication challenges. Students are encouraged to think critically, present sophisticated ideas, and deliver speeches with strong presence and authenticity. Students will learn: Advanced speech writing and persuasive storytelling Competitive debating and argument strategy Impromptu speaking and thinking quickly under pressure Professional presentation skills Audience engagement and persuasive delivery Interview coaching Leadership communication and influence Students receive personalized coaching and detailed evaluations designed to refine their speaking style and maximize their competitive potential. Throughout the year, students have opportunities to compete in local, regional, and advanced speaking competitions, gaining valuable experience while building confidence and leadership skills. This program equips students with powerful communication tools that will benefit them in university interviews, leadership roles, and future careers.
